The
developers of Estate St. Croix
purchased property in St.
Andrews in the Summer of 2000, the second
morning they were here (as
visitors from the States). They
were just on vacation and now
describe their unexpected move
here as “a calling.” They are
now dual Citizens actively
engaged in careers and community
here.
For the
amusing story of how Mary and
Ken Green landed here, read “Moving
to Tropical Canada.”
You can get a
pretty good feeling of what the
community has to offer from the
Wikipedia
information on St. Andrews.
Year-round, there hundreds of
fun and stimulating things to do
in St. Andrews
for all ages. Here you can be
as active or reclusive as you
wish. St. Andrews is the centre
of a world-class arts community
and a magnet for a fascinating
group of expats and residents,
including authors, professors,
scientists and naturalists.
From musical performances and
interesting classes to social
clubs and service groups, you’ll
find it in St. Andrews. Our
residents are active and social
and many enjoy volunteering for
good causes, like Hospice or the
Animal Shelter. We have super

College to our top-rated high
school.
We enjoy all sorts of indoor
and outdoor recreation, from
hockey and curling to golf and
kayaking. Swim in the warm water
of Katy’s Cove or in Chamcook
Lake or join an aquatics
exercise group at an indoor
pool. Work out or play
racquetball at the Algonquin or
treat yourself to a pampering
spa day at one of our many
facilities. At the Arena Centre
in town, take in a
thought-provoking movie, a
community theatre performance,
or a popular musical group. In
town, enjoy garden tours,
gallery exhibits, nature walks
and leisurely strolls to take in
the architecture. St. Andrew’s
fine selection of unique
shopping and fine restaurants
are popular pastimes. Treat
yourself and your guests to a
scenic round of golf at the
Algonquin Golf Club and Academy
or an exhilarating whale
watching cruise. Our Fundy Bay
has the richest marine and
highest tides of anywhere in the
world.
